Nicole Garcia is emerging as one of the most highly sought after violinists and orchestra contractors in Los Angeles. Recently returning from the North American leg of the Kanye West "Touch the Sky" tour, Ms. Garcia performed as concertmaster and conductor, and contracted orchestras in dozens of cities across North America, from Miami to New York, Toronto, and Las Vegas. As a performer, she has played with artists as diverse as Aretha Franklin, Justin Timberlake, Andrea Bocelli, Smokey Robinson, Outkast, Patti LaBelle, Jamiroquai, Harry Connick Jr., Mark O'Connor, and Gil Shaham. She has been featured in television performances for shows such as American Idol, MTV, VH1, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the American Music Awards. As an orchestra contractor, her activities range from assembling orchestras for live shows, to hiring ensembles for recording sessions at Capitol Studios in Hollywood. Ms. Garcia begins 2006 touring the world on the Europe, Australia and Asia leg of the "Touch the Sky" tour. Although not yet 30, Nicole Garcia already has years of experience in music performance and production, whether it be organizing and realizing a live ensemble performance with a musical artist, or executing a film scoring session under tight deadlines. Cultivating knowledge from her relationships with successful film composers, performing artists, and the Los Angeles musicians union, Ms. Garcia brings a wealth of resources to the Pacific Blue Music team. |
